Chapman Residential Studio is a boutique firm led by Michelle Chapman specializing in house plans for luxury market homes, custom homes, and traditional neighborhood developments. A native Nashvillian, Michelle’s passion for residential architecture began at five years old sketching house plans as a hobby, and she hasn’t stopped since. Her design interest led her to obtain an Architecture degree from the University of Tennessee. 

Michelle’s early professional experience focused on other project types, but she fortunately returned to her love of residential architecture. Michelle then spent ten years with a national development firm serving as Director of Single Family Architecture. In this role Michelle managed community architecture and exterior selection reviews for master planned communities, developed architectural guidelines for new communities, designed luxury market and custom homes, and led a plan production team. She also designed a floor plan built in the 2022 Parade of Homes and designed front elevations for the 2021 and 2022 Nashville St. Jude Dream Homes.

Michelle founded Chapman Residential Studio in 2021, a firm passionate about creating timeless architecture for modern lifestyles. Michelle creates fresh floor plans customized for the needs of her clients and crafts elevation designs inspired by historic and transitional architecture styles. Most importantly, Michelle listens to her clients, developing their wishes into a functional design paired with an unparalleled customer service experience. Many of Michelle’s designs can be found in middle Tennessee master-planned communities such as Westhaven, The Grove, Stephens Valley, Rosebrooke, Troubadour Club, and Witherspoon.
